When you talk about mobile markets with booming potential, the Middle East is bound to come up. Many countries in this region have been laying the groundwork to support a mobile revolution, and Mobusi is prepared to accompany them on this exciting journey. That’s why we will be sending a team of representatives to two fascinating countries in the middle east, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Each country presents interesting opportunities for growth. The UAE is a more established player in the game, with a mobile penetration rate of 90% according to Google’s consumer barometer study. The study also found that 53% of internet users in the country prefer to connect to the web via their smartphones as opposed to a computer.
Jordan, in comparison, has a mobile penetration of 50%, although that number is predicted to increase exponentially over the next five years, according to Chinese technology company Lenovo. With more than 11.1 million active mobile subscriptions in the country, mobile advertisers would be well-served to get in early to get a slice of the pie.
